Friday 8 March, 7pm – 9pm
ADM & Joining the Dots Theatre Company invite you to a Special Celebration of
International Women's Day:
She Writes
A stage reading* of the new play, "Speak, Easy"
Exploring the impact of Dorothy Day, Dorothy Parker, & Dorothy L. Sayers.
By Jo Kadlecek, ADM 2018 Summer Fellow
Following the reading, there will be a dessert/Q&A with ADM CEO Kate Harrison Brennan and the actors/playwright.
When a young Sydney writer grapples with loss and inspiration, three extraordinary women writers from the 1920s - with very different personalities - appear to her in surprising and sassy ways.
This imagined conversation joins three Dots prolific in their writing, stories, essays, poetry, and commentary, and whose works continue to enjoy an international following 125 years later.
*A stage reading is a form of theatre without sets or costumes, where professional actors read from scripts as the audience imagines the story. It is a useful part of the creative process when preparing a production.
