__________

How can Australia best serve its global neighbours? How can Christians think biblically about their engagement in politics ahead of the upcoming federal election?

Join us for a dynamic evening as we explore these questions and hear from Christian thought-leaders and our elected representatives.

The night will start with reflections from Dr. John Dickson. John has recently returned from Jordan and Lebanon, where he saw firsthand Australian Aid at work, supporting Syrian refugees. Brief presentations will be made by Senator Jenny McAllister and a representative from the Liberal party on their respective party’s foreign policy positions, then a moderated panel discussing Australia’s role and position as a Global Neighbour.

Dr. John Dickson is an author, speaker, theologian and was the Founding Director of the Centre for Public Christianity.

Senator Jenny McAllister is an Australian Labor Party Senator for the state of New South Wales, and the Shadow Assistant Minister for Families and Communities.

We have also invited the Liberal party to send a representative to speak on their behalf at this event – we’ll share who this will be shortly.

The evening will be moderated by ADM CEO, Dr Kate Harrison Brennan, who was formerly an Advisor to Prime Minister Julia Gillard.

This is a night for Church leaders and Christians passionate about politics, public life and seeing Australia’s foreign policy reflect that of a good global neighbour. Everyone is welcome.
